About the Course
The PADI Drift Diver Specialty Course is an exciting and practical introduction to the world of current diving, one of the most thrilling experiences in scuba diving. Unlike static reef dives, drift dives allow you to "fly" underwater as you're carried along by the ocean's natural movement — all while observing stunning marine life and expansive underwater landscapes.At Seawave Diving Phuket, we offer the Drift Diver course in carefully chosen locations like Racha Noi, Phi Phi Islands, or Shark Point, where the conditions are ideal for learning how to dive with the flow.
What you will learn
- How to enter and exit in currents safely
- Buoyancy control and trim during drifting
- Using surface signaling devices (SMB, flag)
- Buddy procedures and current awareness
Requirements:
- Certified Open Water Divers (age 12+)
- Logged dive within the past 12 months (or a refresher may be required)
- You must be in good health and able to swim. A PADI Medical Statement must be completed beforeg
