About the Course
The PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) Diver course is your entry into longer, safer, and more efficient dives. By using a gas blend with more oxygen and less nitrogen, Nitrox allows you to extend your no-decompression limits — especially on repetitive dives.This is a non-diving specialty that focuses on dive theory, gas safety, and practical skills, and it can be completed in just a few hours.At Seawave Diving Phuket, we make it simple: you'll get hands-on experience analyzing tanks, adjusting your dive computer for oxygen mixes, and learning the real benefits of diving with Nitrox — all with the guidance of a certified PADI instructor.Whether you’re diving for fun, photography, or planning back-to-back dives at Racha Yai and Racha Noi, Nitrox lets you stay down longer and come up feeling great.
What you will learn
- What Nitrox is and how it affects your body
- How to analyze a Nitrox tank
- Planning dives with Enriched Air using tables or a computer
- How to set your dive computer for Nitrox mixes (e.g. 32% or 36%)
- Safety precautions for diving with oxygen-rich gas
Requirements:
- Must be 12 years or older
- Must be Open Water Diver certified (or equivalent)
- No prior Nitrox or specialty experience required
- Be in good health and comfortable in the water
