About the Course
The PADI Tec 45 course is designed for experienced divers who are ready to go beyond recreational diving limits and take their underwater skills to the next level. As the second step in the PADI TecRec program, this course builds directly on what you learned in Tec 40 and prepares you for deeper, longer, and more demanding dives.In this course, you’ll learn to dive to a maximum depth of 45 meters while making single gas decompression dives using up to 100% oxygen. You’ll use full technical diving gear including a twin set or sidemount system, and gain experience in handling emergencies, stage bottle management, and advanced dive planning.Whether you're pursuing technical diving as a passion or preparing for more advanced levels like Tec 50 or Trimix diving, this course gives you the confidence, skills, and safety mindset to dive deeper — safely and effectively.
What you will learn
- Gas planning and decompression procedures
- Handling equipment failures and emergencies
- Use of a single decompression gas up to 100% oxygen
- Dive planning using desktop or mobile software
- Extended bottom time and staged decompression dives
Requirements:
- Certified PADI Tec 40 diver (or equivalent)
- PADI Rescue Diver certification (or equivalent)
- Minimum 30 logged dives, including deep dives
- At least 18 years old
- Medically fit for technical diving (signed medical within 12 months)
