About the Course
The Tec 50 course represents the full transition from technical novice to capable decompression diver. You’ll learn to plan and conduct extended, accelerated decompression dives up to 50 meters, using two decompression gases, multiple bailout procedures, and a comprehensive emergency strategy.At Seawave Diving Phuket, we teach you to dive beyond the limits of recreational diving — while applying the highest standards of safety, discipline, and team awareness. You’ll train in real-world environments, guided by experienced PADI TecRec instructors and supported by high-quality technical diving equipment.Add our Trimix upgrade to introduce helium into your dive profile, preparing you for deeper dives with reduced narcosis and optimized gas density.
What you will learn
- Dive planning for depths up to 50 meters
- Use of 2 decompression gases (up to 100% O₂)
- Bailout protocols for gas loss or diver emergencies
- Lost deco gas and accelerated deco plan modifications
- Use of helium-based breathing mixes (e.g., 21/35 or 18/45)
Requirements:
- PADI Tec 45 Diver (or equivalent)
- 100 logged dives (with 20+ deeper than 30m)
- PADI Rescue Diver (or equivalent)
- Valid medical statement (within 12 months)
